MEET THE FOUNDER
Rev (Dr) Gabriel Oyediji, is a career consultant in Agriculture, Veterinary and Pest Control. A native of Ibadan in Oyo State. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Rehoboth Veterinary Clinic, Gaboye Pest Control and Agricultural Consultancy Firm.
He is involved in several Social Intervention projects in Lagos State which amongst others include- The Compassionate Orphanage for orphans and vulnerable Children, the Compassionate outreach for the homeless for the rehabilitation of ‘Area Boys and homeless people in Lagos State, The Compassionate Positive Family- that provide help for PLWHA through an established support group and home based care for people living which HIV/AIDS. He once served as a committee member of World Bank Fadama II project in Alimosho. He facilitated in APIN public Health Initiatives training Program on Child Protection. He was a member of Child Rights Law of Lagos State pre-implementation committee. He participated in many Child Protection training programs sponsored by Unicef.
Fully ordained in 1993 after completing theological School program. He joined Foursquare Gospel Church and served in many Christian leadership capacities ranging from the Zonal Prayer Coordinator to Assisting Minister, Akowonjo Zonal Headquarter Church and thereafter the Coordinating Pastor, Foursquare Gospel Church, Orelope, Egbeda. And later the senior Pastor, Foursquare Gospel Church AIT branch where he resigned in 1999 to answer God’s call for the establishment of Compassionate Outreach Ministries.
He was specifically called into a rescue ministry with a mandate to practically demonstrate the love of God through salvation messages, prevailing prayers and compassionate love to the hopeless, the helpless and the homeless. He began a midnight soul hunting program in 2002 and embarked on a sleep out event under many bridges in Lagos state as a way of identifying with the plight of many homeless Nigerians who couldn’t afford a night under the roof.
He organized a Compassionate outreach program for the homeless society in Lagos State squatting under Maryland bridge, Ojuelegba bridge, Oshodi bridge, Falomo, Kuramo beach, Ikota, Iyana-Ipaja etc. Rescued members of the homeless society under the bridge were rehabilitated and vocationally supported, providing them with 2 years paid rent accommodation and vocational training.
The pathetic sight of 150 homeless and vulnerable children hosted by his outreach in May 27, 2004 children’s day at Ijora Railway prompted the establishment of Compassionate Orphanage for the care and support of orphans and vulnerable children. As a multi-vocational Pastor, He is the Chief executive officer of Gaboye (Nig) Ltd, Rehoboth Veterinary Services, founder of Compassionate Orphanage home, Chief operator of Dorcas Oyediji home for abandoned and motherless babies, Olubadan Estate New Ife road,Gbagi Ibadan.
Rev (Dr) Gabriel Oyediji, a community leader and the Chairman, Greenland Estate CDA Isheri Alimosho area, a newspaper columnist and regular T.V guest. He performed the Christian pilgrimage to Jerusalem with his wife in Nov. 2002. An executive member of the police community relations, a motivational speaker, a counselor and a Man with compassionate heart. He plans to establish Compassionate Village for all in need of compassion. He established compassionate tuition-free school for the support of orphans and the less privileged members of his community.
Dr. Oyediji is the coordinator of Alimosho Local Government Child Protection Network in Lagos State an initiative of Unicef. He was served as a board member, World bank Fadama Agricultural project in Alimosho local Government. He is the Secretary General of Association of Orphanages Homes Operators in Nigeria (ASOHON) and one of the patrons of the Neighborhood Security guard, Lagos State.
He currently and happily shares accommodation with about 60 abandoned children. He is the Presiding Pastor of Compassionate Outreach Ministry. Married to Mrs Tolani Oyediji and are blessed with many Children Spiritual and Biological.
